You are probably already retired if you call it floor wax anyways but…just the same. I need to correct a misnomer: Floors are no longer waxed! The janitor at a hall in Niagara Falls asked me for two buckets of floor-shine “you know…the WAX”. I knew right away. Wax belongs in two places: candles and your ears. Floor finish has progressed to a point where it is quickly changing generations of development every five or six years as opposed to the updates that happened every 10 to 15 years in technology. Why? Because people are using far less floor finish than they used to. This is for a variety of reasons, though my most common thought is the decline of non-resilient floors. Polished concrete in retail has outpaced vinyl composite installation in the US for the past 5 years. What will we do if we don’t sell anymore floor-shine? We’ll survive. What do you need to do? Learn how to maintain your polished concrete! It’s getting easier and far less costly. Try Crete Rx by Betco, it is spectacular.
